However, still, there is a huge section of the society where women struggle not only to find their identity but to get their basic rights. In such situations, NGOs for women rights stand up to give a voice to the unheard.

Helping hand for every woman
Women, especially in rural parts of India are deprived of equal rights as that of men. While some manage to get primary education others become victims of the situation. Marriage at a very early age often results in the increase in maternal mortality. There are several NGOs like Sneha, CARE, Mahila Sahaya Vani and Navjyoti that are standing up for women’s rights. Not only do they ensure that women get equal rights, but they are also doing a great deal of work for the overall empowerment of women.
How NGOs support women
NGOs are made of individuals like us. Most NGOs have full-time employees but they also get support from people like you. There are both full-time and part-time volunteers who help these NGOs get closer to their goal of women’s empowerment. They go to remote places and help women understand their rights and duties. They also teach them to take care of themselves and their families.
From helping those who have suffered abuse to those in need for guidance, these volunteers have done a great job in helping women understand their rights.
